About N26 statements
N26 is a Berlin-based digital bank offering app-based current accounts in Germany and other European countries.
N26 offers two kinds of PDF. Balance statements are monthly snapshots of an account or Space, while account activity reports cover any custom date range you set and can also be saved as CSV. The main account and each Space have their own statements, so a complete picture may need several files. Statements and reports are downloaded from the app or the N26 web login.

How to download your N26 statement as a PDF
- In the app, open the Finances tab and choose the account or Space.
- Tap the gear icon, then 'Balance statements'.
- Select the month to download the PDF.
- On the web, use 'Downloads' for statements or a custom 'Account Activity' report.
Menu names can change between app and website versions.
N26 CSV and Excel downloads vs converting the PDF
On the web, 'Downloads' then 'Account Activity' exports a custom date range as PDF or CSV; monthly balance statements are PDF only. Once an account is closed you can no longer log in, so saved PDFs may be the only copy left.
Converting the PDF statement is useful when you need periods outside that window, an account that is closed, or the exact figures printed on the official statement, including the running balance for reconciliation.
Tips for converting N26 statements
- Use the account activity report when you need a custom range in CSV; convert the monthly balance statement PDFs when those are all you saved, for example after closure.
- If outgoing payments appear as negative amounts, the converter keeps them in a signed Amount column; use Flip signs if your tool expects the opposite convention.
- Each Space has its own statements. Convert them separately, or combine them in the converter for one file covering the main account and Spaces.
Importing N26 transactions into accounting software
For DATEV, Lexware Office (lexoffice) and sevDesk, export CSV or OFX after checking the preview. Amounts are written as plain numbers without the € sign, so they import cleanly as values.
