    About Malayan Banking Berhad statements

Maybank (Malayan Banking Berhad) is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, and its Maybank2u platform is used for online banking and statement downloads.

Maybank savings and current account statements are issued monthly on Maybank2u, with monthly statements for savings accounts introduced from July 2022; before that, savings statements came quarterly. Each statement opens as a PDF from the account's View Statement option, with a drop-down to switch between months. Credit card statements are kept online for a shorter period than deposit account statements.

Typical Malaysia statement headings and where they go in your export:

    1. Log in to Maybank2u on the web, or the MAE app.
    2. Select your savings or current account.
    3. Click View Statement to open the latest PDF.
    4. Use the drop-down to choose another month, then download it.

Menu names can change between app and website versions.

    Tips for converting Maybank statements

    • Maybank2u only keeps about a year of deposit statements online, so convert and save each month’s PDF to Excel before it drops out of view.
    • Maybank statements use day-first dates and ringgit amounts; the converter detects the date order, and Read dates as can override it if a month has only ambiguous dates.

Importing Maybank transactions into accounting software

For SQL Accounting, AutoCount, Xero and QuickBooks, export CSV or OFX after checking the preview. Amounts are written as plain numbers without the RM sign, so they import cleanly as values. Step-by-step help: Xero, QuickBooks.
