About ANZ Bank New Zealand statements
ANZ Bank New Zealand is the New Zealand subsidiary of the ANZ Group and is headquartered in Auckland.
ANZ New Zealand splits statements between the account page, which shows recent ones, and the document library, which holds older statements searchable by document type, account and date range. Each statement is a PDF you can view in a browser tab or download. Amounts are in New Zealand dollars with day-first dates, and transaction history can also be exported from Internet Banking for accounting software.

ANZ NZ CSV and Excel downloads vs converting the PDF
ANZ Internet Banking can export transaction history for spreadsheets and accounting software; the formats are listed when you export. Statements reach back seven years, so converting the PDFs covers gaps in an export and documents for closed accounts supplied by ANZ.
Converting the PDF statement is useful when you need periods outside that window, an account that is closed, or the exact figures printed on the official statement, including the running balance for reconciliation.
Tips for converting ANZ NZ statements
- ANZ NZ statements use day-first dates; the converter detects this, and Read dates as lets you force day-first order if a short statement only has ambiguous days.
- For GST or IRD reconciliations, combine the ANZ statements for the period and export OFX for Xero; the balance check highlights any row that breaks the running balance.
Importing ANZ NZ transactions into accounting software
For Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks, export CSV or OFX after checking the preview. Amounts are written as plain numbers without the $ sign, so they import cleanly as values. Step-by-step help: Xero, QuickBooks.
