    About TD Canada Trust statements

TD Canada Trust is the Canadian personal and commercial banking business of Toronto-based TD Bank Group.

TD Canada Trust chequing statements use an unusual column order: Description comes first, then Withdrawals, Deposits, Date and Balance. Dates are short month-and-day entries with no year, and each page begins with a Balance Forward row carrying over the balance from the previous page. The account type and statement period are printed in the header of the first page.

TD CSV and Excel downloads vs converting the PDF

EasyWeb lists downloading account activity among its features, for use in spreadsheets or finance software. TD does not publish how far back the download reaches, so for a full year or more, converting the statements is usually simpler.

Converting the PDF statement is useful when you need periods outside that window, an account that is closed, or the exact figures printed on the official statement, including the running balance for reconciliation.

    Tips for converting TD statements

    • Because TD puts the date after the amounts, the converter maps columns by heading rather than position; spot-check a few rows to confirm dates and amounts lined up.
    • Balance Forward rows at the top of each page are carry-overs, not transactions; check that none were counted as a deposit or withdrawal.
    • TD dates carry no year, so the converter takes it from the statement period; this matters most for statements running from December into January.

Importing TD transactions into accounting software

For QuickBooks, Xero, Sage 50 and Wave, export CSV or OFX after checking the preview. Amounts are written as plain numbers without the $ sign, so they import cleanly as values. Step-by-step help: QuickBooks, Xero.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I download TD Canada Trust statements from EasyWeb?

Sign in to EasyWeb, open the profile icon drop-down and select Statements and Documents. Choose the account, pick the year with Filter by year and select the statement; it opens as a PDF you can save or print. TD keeps up to seven years of statements there.

Can I convert a TD statement to Excel when the date column is on the right?

Yes. The converter reads TD's headings, Description, Withdrawals, Deposits, Date and Balance, and maps them to standard columns, so the Excel output puts the date first with debits and credits separated. Run the balance check afterwards to confirm the running balance still adds up.

Is it safe to convert my TD statement here?

Yes. The conversion happens on your own device; your TD statement is not uploaded, stored or shared. This site is independent and not affiliated with TD Canada Trust.
