    About Macquarie Bank statements

Macquarie Bank is the banking arm of Sydney-based Macquarie Group, offering transaction and savings accounts, home loans and business banking.

Macquarie Transaction, Savings and Business Savings account statements cover six-month periods, issued shortly after late June and late December, so one PDF can hold half a year of activity. Home loans follow the same January-to-June and July-to-December cycle, while credit card statements are monthly. Each statement shows past transactions, interest and the account balance, and half-yearly statements can run to many pages.

Typical Australia statement headings and where they go in your export:

Also known as Macquarie Group and Macquarie Bank Australia.

How to download your Macquarie statement as a PDF

    1. Log in to Macquarie Online Banking or the Macquarie Mobile Banking app.
    2. Hover over or select the account, then choose I want to.
    3. Pick View account statements and reports (View account statements in the app).
    4. Select the statement; it downloads so you can open and save it.

Between 2 and 10 years depending on the account; the available range is shown after you log in.

Menu names can change between app and website versions.

Macquarie CSV and Excel downloads vs converting the PDF

Online Banking (not the app) downloads transaction history from the download icon on an account's transaction list, after filtering by date, amount or type. Only transactions loaded on screen are included, so long periods are often easier to rebuild from the half-yearly PDF statements.

Converting the PDF statement is useful when you need periods outside that window, an account that is closed, or the exact figures printed on the official statement, including the running balance for reconciliation.

    Tips for converting Macquarie statements

    • A half-yearly Macquarie statement can span many pages; convert it in one go and use the balance check to confirm every page was read before exporting.
    • Macquarie credit card statements are monthly while transaction accounts are half-yearly; convert them separately, and use Flip signs if card purchases come through as credits.

Importing Macquarie transactions into accounting software

For Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and Reckon, export CSV or OFX after checking the preview. Amounts are written as plain numbers without the $ sign, so they import cleanly as values. Step-by-step help: Xero, QuickBooks.

    Frequently asked questions

How often does Macquarie issue statements for transaction accounts?

Macquarie issues statements for Transaction, Savings and Business Savings accounts twice a year, shortly after the periods ending in late June and late December. Home loan statements are also six-monthly, and credit card statements are available monthly at the end of each billing cycle.

Why can't I download Macquarie transactions in the app?

Macquarie only offers transaction history downloads in Online Banking on the web; the app lets you view transactions and statements but not export them. In Online Banking, filter the transactions, scroll until they have all loaded, then use the download icon, or convert the PDF statement for a full period.

Is it safe to convert my Macquarie statement here?

Yes. The conversion happens on your own device; your Macquarie statement is not uploaded, stored or shared. This site is independent and not affiliated with Macquarie Bank.
