About Monzo Bank statements
Monzo is an app-based bank headquartered in London, offering personal, joint and business current accounts.
Monzo builds statements on demand for whatever date range you choose, rather than issuing a fixed monthly document. The same screen offers PDF, CSV and QIF, and Pots have statements of their own. Monzo treats in-app statements as original documents, so a bank stamp is usually unnecessary, and the name and address shown are the ones on file on the last day of the chosen range.

Monzo statement PDF password
The full transaction history Monzo emails after an account is closed is a password-protected file, and Monzo sends the password separately by text. The converter can unlock it locally once you enter that password.
Type the password into the converter when it asks. It is used only inside your browser to open the file and is never sent anywhere.
Monzo CSV and Excel downloads vs converting the PDF
Monzo exports transactions itself: the app's 'Bank statements' screen produces PDF, CSV or QIF for any date range. Converting a PDF still helps when someone sends you a Monzo statement only as a PDF, or for the password-protected history emailed after closure.
Converting the PDF statement is useful when you need periods outside that window, an account that is closed, or the exact figures printed on the official statement, including the running balance for reconciliation.
Tips for converting Monzo statements
- For a closed Monzo account, enter the password Monzo texted you when opening the emailed statement; the converter unlocks it in your browser without uploading anything.
- Because you set the date range yourself, one Monzo PDF can cover a whole tax year, so you convert a single file instead of merging twelve monthly ones.
- Pots have their own statements. Convert the main account and each Pot separately, or combine them in the converter if you want a single file.
Importing Monzo transactions into accounting software
For Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and FreeAgent, export CSV or OFX after checking the preview. Amounts are written as plain numbers without the £ sign, so they import cleanly as values. Step-by-step help: Xero, QuickBooks.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get a Monzo bank statement as a PDF?
In the Monzo app, open Home, tap the three dots below your card and choose 'Bank statements'. Set the date range, pick PDF and save or share the file. The same screen produces CSV and QIF files if you need the data for a spreadsheet or budgeting app.
Do I need to convert Monzo statements at all?
Often not, since Monzo exports CSV and QIF directly. Conversion helps when you only have the PDF, such as a statement a tenant or client sent you, or the password-protected transaction history Monzo emails after an account has been closed.
Is a Monzo statement accepted without a bank stamp?
Monzo says statements downloaded in the app are original documents, so a stamp or signature usually isn't needed. If an organisation insists on paper, Monzo's support team can arrange a paper copy. Converting a statement to Excel for your own records leaves the PDF unchanged.
Is it safe to convert my Monzo statement here?
Yes. The conversion happens on your own device; your Monzo statement is not uploaded, stored or shared. This site is independent and not affiliated with Monzo Bank.
