About JPMorgan Chase Bank statements
Chase is the consumer and commercial banking arm of JPMorgan Chase, headquartered in New York City. It offers checking and savings accounts alongside credit cards such as the Sapphire and Freedom lines.
Chase checking statements start with a Checking Summary box listing the beginning balance, Deposits and Additions, ATM & Debit Card Withdrawals, Electronic Withdrawals, any fees and the ending balance. Below it, a Transaction Detail section lists every item in date order with one signed Amount column and a running Balance. Dates show month and day only, so the year comes from the statement period printed at the top.

How to download your Chase statement as a PDF
- Sign in at chase.com and open the Main Menu in the top-left corner.
- Choose Statements & documents.
- Pick the account and the year you need.
- Use the Open or Save icon beside the statement to get the PDF.
- In the Chase Mobile app, go to Profile & Settings, then Statements & documents.
Chase says up to 7 years of statements can be viewed online, depending on the account type.

Chase CSV and Excel downloads vs converting the PDF
On a computer, Chase lets you download transactions as CSV, Quicken Web Connect (QFX), QIF or QuickBooks Web Connect (QBO), and describes this download as covering about the last two years. For anything older, the monthly PDF statements are the main record.
Converting the PDF statement is useful when you need periods outside that window, an account that is closed, or the exact figures printed on the official statement, including the running balance for reconciliation.
Tips for converting Chase statements
- Chase prints transaction dates without a year. The converter takes the year from the statement period, which keeps December-to-January statements in the right order.
- Transaction Detail shows a running balance on every row, so run the balance check after converting; a highlighted row usually means a wrapped description or a skipped line.

Chase says customers can open up to seven years of statements online, although the exact range depends on the account type. Go to Statements & documents and change the year to reach older PDFs. If a statement you need is not listed there, Chase customer service can tell you how to order a copy.
Can I export Chase transactions to Excel?
Yes, for recent activity. On chase.com you can download transactions as a CSV file, which opens in Excel, or in Quicken and QuickBooks formats, and Chase describes that window as roughly two years. For earlier months, or when all you have are the PDF statements, convert the PDFs to Excel instead.
