About USAA statements
USAA is a San Antonio-based financial services company offering banking and insurance to U.S. military members, veterans and their families.
USAA bank statements open with a summary of the beginning balance, deposits and credits, withdrawals and debits, and the ending balance for the period. Transactions are then listed in date order with descriptions and amounts, and checks are typically identified by number. Statements live alongside other USAA documents, such as tax forms and notices, in the member documents area.
Typical United States statement headings and where they go in your export:
| On the statement | In your export |
|---|---|
| Date | Date |
| Description | Description |
| Check No. | Reference |
| Withdrawals | Debit (and negative Amount) |
| Deposits | Credit (and positive Amount) |
| Amount | Amount (signed), split into Debit / Credit |
Also known as USAA Bank and USAA Federal Savings Bank.
How to download your USAA statement as a PDF
- Log on to usaa.com or the USAA Mobile app.
- Open your documents area and filter for bank statements.
- For documents older than 18 months, use Filter to widen the Delivery date range.
- Open the statement, then use the Menu icon to download or print.
USAA shows the last 18 months of documents by default; older ones appear after widening the Delivery date filter, and availability varies by document.
Menu names can change between app and website versions.
USAA CSV and Excel downloads vs converting the PDF
USAA members can download transaction history from usaa.com as a CSV file, and members report that QFX downloads for Quicken have been dropped. Online history reaches back about 18 months, so earlier activity has to come from statements.
Converting the PDF statement is useful when you need periods outside that window, an account that is closed, or the exact figures printed on the official statement, including the running balance for reconciliation.
Tips for converting USAA statements
- With QFX downloads gone, convert the USAA statement PDF and export OFX when your finance software needs a bank-format file rather than CSV.
- Expired documents may be hard or costly to retrieve, so download statements while they are listed and combine a year of them into one Excel workbook.
Importing USAA transactions into accounting software
For QuickBooks, Xero, Quicken and Wave, export CSV or OFX after checking the preview. Amounts are written as plain numbers without the $ sign, so they import cleanly as values. Step-by-step help: QuickBooks, Xero.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find USAA statements older than 18 months?
In USAA's documents section, select Filter and extend the Delivery date range to the period you need. USAA notes that availability differs by document and that expired documents can only be retrieved in some cases, possibly for a fee, so save copies of statements you want to keep.
Can I download USAA transactions to Quicken?
Quicken users report that USAA no longer offers QFX downloads and provides CSV files instead. If you want an OFX file, or need months the online history no longer covers, convert the USAA PDF statement and export OFX or CSV for your software.
Is it safe to convert my USAA statement here?
Yes. The conversion happens on your own device; your USAA statement is not uploaded, stored or shared. This site is independent and not affiliated with USAA.
