About Navy Federal Credit Union statements
Navy Federal Credit Union is a member-owned credit union headquartered in Vienna, Virginia, serving U.S. military members, veterans, Department of Defense personnel and their families.
Navy Federal sends a single statement covering a member's deposit accounts. It opens with a Summary of your deposit accounts showing each account's balance, credits, debits and dividends. Each account then has its own table with Date, Transaction Detail, Amount($) and Balance($) columns, starting with a Beginning Balance row. Dates are printed as month and day, and every line carries a running balance.

Navy Federal CSV and Excel downloads vs converting the PDF
Navy Federal has a Download button on transaction history. Members report CSV and PDF as the current choices, with Quicken-format downloads discontinued, so check what your account offers. Statements older than 36 months are not kept online.
Converting the PDF statement is useful when you need periods outside that window, an account that is closed, or the exact figures printed on the official statement, including the running balance for reconciliation.
Tips for converting Navy Federal statements
- One PDF can include several accounts, so run the balance check and look at each account's section; a jump in balance usually marks where the next account starts.
- Every row has a running balance, so the balance check is a reliable test; a highlighted row usually means a wrapped line or a sign that needs fixing.
- Only 36 months stay online, so download statements regularly and combine a year of PDFs into one Excel file before they age out.
